US Senator Calls for Debate on Medical Marijuana

Sen. Gene Fraise on Medical Marijuana
Des Moines, IOWA – There has been a renewed call for legalization of medical marijuana, well not directly, but Senator Gene Fraise thinks that we should open up discussion on the issue.
The Senator, who has a 26 years of service in the Iowa State Senate, and sits on a number of corrections-related bodies, recently drafted a bill, in hopes of sparking discussion on the topic of medical marijuana. Sen. Gene Fraise is not a proponent of legalization, and has no decided view on the topic, however; he is very familiar with the topic, sitting as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Drafting of this bill forces the first step in what maybe a national discussion on medical marijuana, at both the Federal and State levels. There is still no clear timeline as to when the bill will be tabled, but it is positive to see progression in the United States.
